PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION NEWS

One primary aspect of the Chapter’s mission is to promote the professional development of our members. In preparing the 2020 Tony Hodge Educational Awards , I did a little research. Since 1999, there have been 178 Tony Hodge Educational Award recipients, resulting in over $71,000 in monies to new IAAO designees. A large portion of that occurred in the past five years: 110 award recipients and $55,000 awarded. Wow!

Last year, I began keeping track of which counties have produced the most recipients (since we all enjoy a little friendly competition): Clay is in

fourth place with ten; Orange has twenty-three; Palm Beach is in second place with twenty-nine; and Pinellas continues to lead with forty-three. The table below displays counties with at least three re- cipients.
