Where was your best vacat ion ever? My most memorable vacat ion was in Peru, a stunning count ry boast ing a weal th of cul tural her i tage and di verse landscapes . The highl ight of my t r ip was explor ing Machu Picchu nest led in the Andes Mountains . The exper ience was t ruly one of-a-k ind, as I sensed an indescr ibable energy that took my breath away , creat ing an unforget table memory . What ’s one thing people would be surpr ised to know about you? I played clar inet growing up. where I am tasked wi th mak ing deci s ions that uphold fai rness and equi ty for al l invol ved.

What do you do for the PA? I am one of the senior members in the Tangible Personal Proper ty Depar tment . I handle al l the leas ing company accounts , large di st r ibut ion companies , f loat ing st ructures , cable and gas companies and retai l accounts How long have you been employed by the PA? I have worked for the Proper ty Apprai ser in Monroe County for 22 years in the Tangible Personal Proper ty Depar tment . I have had the honor of serv ing under three Proper ty Apprai sers dur ing my tenure, Erv in Higgs , Kar l Borglum and Scot t Russel l . What do you l ike most about your job? I f ind great sat i sfact ion in the connect ions I ' ve establ i shed wi th taxpayers and col leagues . I f i rmly bel ieve that when you genuinely love your work and the people around you, everything el se becomes an added bonus . What is some of the best career advice you can give? The best adv ice I could gi ve i s don‘ t be af raid to ask quest ions . Knowledge i s power and there are no fool i sh quest ions i f they wi l l help you understand your job bet ter and be your most product i ve. Think of knowledge as a secret weapon, the more you have, the st ronger and more successful you become. I f you could travel to any year in a t ime machine, what year would you choose and why? 1989, to enjoy what was the nature and beauty of the count ry where I was born, Colombia.
