MEMBER SPOTLIGHT CONTINUED

What do you plan to do when you retire ? I am the grand- mother of Emmett, who is five years old and Everett, who is due to be born July 20 th of this year. Helping their parents with their well-being and care will be my highest priority when I retire. Spending quality time with my adult children, mother and broth- er will be my greatest reward.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I used to compete in local triathlons.

What are your hobbies and interest outside your job ? In the Tampa Bay area, there are many things to do and participate in. I love anything to do with the water: Kayaking, swimming, walking along the shore, reading under an umbrella; and of course there is the Pinellas Trail where I walk and ride my bike.

When COVID kept most of us from venturing out, I joined a vir- tual book club with women within neighboring counties.

What is some of the best career advice you’ve been given? Three things: listen well before you speak, leave your mind open to new ideas, and the time is always right to do what is right.
