FCIAAO DIVERSITY STATEMENT
The Florida Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers (FCIAAO) is committed to actualiz- ing an assessment industry more reflective of the communities our members serve. To accomplish this, the FCIAAO pledges to: 1. Build a 21st century professional association through the weaving of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging into all aspects of our strategic plan and decision making processes 2. Actively recognize, engage and support diverse backgrounds and perspectives to enrich association ca- pabilities 3. Actively recognize, engage and support diverse individual viewpoints and contributions throughout all facets of the association 4. Actively educate our members on how to create equitable work environments and behaviors Create a more diverse profession and association by educating our membership on barriers to entry into the assessment industry and how to navigate them to encourage diverse workforce interest The FCIAAO Board was proud to present the association ’ s new Diversity Statement to the mem- bership at the 2022 Annual Conference this year in Ft. Lauderdale. Our chapter and its leaders recognize that the uniqueness and knowledge of each individual member strengthens our associ- ation, our workspaces, and how we serve our communities. Building on this commitment, we are especially concerned with providing leadership and learning opportuni- ties where needed, and culturally relevant service and value to our members, our industry, and the communi- ties we serve. FCIAAO believes a diverse industry is a quality industry.
