PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION SPOTLIGHT CONT.

is quite a demand for new designees to serve as advisors, as candidates want to have access to some- one who recently earned their designation. We are looking to add more advisors to the program; con- tact me if you are interested in giving back to the profession by growing our designated ranks. What is your favorite vacation and/or hobbies you enjoy? Well, any vacation that involves being outdoors is a winner for me. I like to relax in nature; I find it the most rejuvenating. Anything from tent camping to staying in a cabin, as long as I am close enough to hike and explore. If a hobby is defined by how you spend your free time, then primary would be my three children. Rais- ing children is a hands-on activity and I love to get involved in what fuels them. This has led me to vol- unteer as an assistant soccer coach for years now, without any previous soccer experience. But I spend a lot of my true free time as a distance runner. I ran competitively in high school and it’s something that has stuck with me off and on since. I took a break when my children were younger, but I have been growing more back into it over the past couple of years. Again, outside, in any weather, hardly ever on an elliptical! Which television game show (past or present) would like to be on? Why? I have to admit, I haven’t ever really followed television game shows. From what I’ve seen, I think I’d like The Amazing Race , with travel and adventure around the world. I do have fond memories of Who’s Line is it Anyway? with Drew Carey and the crew. I probably couldn’t hold my own with them, but they always looked like they had a lot of fun.
